Rattlers & Kings Split the Points

In a very physical battle that seen a combined 10 yellow cards the Rattlers & RDP Kings battled for a 2-2 draw.

The goal scoring started in the 33rd minute for the Kings as off a corner kick Adan Sanchez-Pimentel found a loose ball and found an open spot on goal to start the scoring. 10 minutes later as the result of a handball in the penalty area the Rattlers tied it up 1-1 courtesy of De'Shaunt Gelinas-Cato (1st year, Regina, SK, Kinesiology) in the 43rd minute. The rest of the half remained tight battled which set up for a very feisty 2nd half.

The second half seen 8 of those 10 yellow cards produced with RDP getting 6 of them throughout the last 45 minutes. The Rattlers took the lead on a shot by Joel Lehr (1st year, Medicine Hat, AB, Kinesiology) in the 74th minute past a sprawling RDP goalkeeper. The lead was short lived however as RDP came back down the field 2 minutes later on a goal by Ajdin Sarcevic to tie it up. Emotions were high and every ball was highly contested but there was to be no more goals this game with the final being 2-2.

The Tiki Press Player of the Game for the Rattlers was Mamadou Camara and for RDP was Njegos Bajovic. MHC travels to play the Ambrose Lions next Saturday while RDP travels to SAIT to take on the Trojans.
