Elgibilty Information

ELIGIBILITY For detailed rules on ACAC eligibility, student-athlete should refer to the most recent version of the ACAC Operating Code. A copy is available on-line or in the Sport & Wellness office.

RATTLERS TEAM PARTICIPATION

1) All student-athletes must be registered for at least nine credits per semester in order to be eligible to play and receive a scholarship. Part-time students are NOT eligible to participate or receive scholarship assistance.

2) A student-athlete shall have a maximum of five years of eligibility within the ACAC.  Participation at any other college or university shall be equivalent to and deducted from the five years of ACAC eligibility.  A student-athlete shall be considered to have used one year of ACAC eligibility if he/she has participated in one scheduled ACAC contest.  The appearance of the student's name on a game report shall be interpreted as indicating participation in the game.  A student-athlete transferring during the academic year shall not be eligible to participate in ACAC competition if his/her name appears on a league game sheet in the same sport at the institution from which he/she is transferring.

3) Student-athlete who fall below a 1.7 GPA will be automatically placed on academic probation by the Registrar's Office.

4) Any student-athlete who receives a 1.7 GPA or less in two consecutive semesters will be dismissed from the College by the Registrar's office. If at any time the student-athlete GPA falls below a 1.7, they could be suspended from all practices and games (including exhibition) until their grades improve.  *Please communicate with your coach and/or Athletic Director on any correspondence you may receive from the Registrar's office immediately.

5) Those student athletes that achieved a GPA below 1.7 in any semester are immediately suspended from all practices and games (including exhibition) until their grades improve.
