Damir Omerovic

Head Coach Men's Soccer/Futsal

Growing up in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Coach Damir Omerovic was a part of professional soccer club in the youth system. In 1993 at the age of 9, he was scouted by one of the top youth academies in the country where he played for 5 seasons and was one of the key contributors to clubs' success from 1993-1998, one of them finishing 2^nd in the National Youth League.   

In 1998 he was selected player for the U-14 Provincial team of Kanton Tuzla. At the age of 15, Damir made his professional debut in the domestic Premier League. 

Following year he received his first call-up for the U-17 National Team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2001 he moved to Canada, St. John’s where he continued his playing career and was a part of U18 Provincial team of Newfoundland and Labrador.  

A former Rattlers Men’s Soccer standout, Damir graduated from MHC in 2008 studying in Business Administration (Marketing) program.  

With over 10 years of coaching experience (U12-U18), in 2022 he took the U15 Boys Rattlers Academy team to Alberta Provincial Championship gold medal. He is currently in his 2^nd season with MHC Rattlers Men’s & Women’s Soccer Program.  

Coaching, developing, and working with players of all ages is a great passion of Coach Damir and his specialist area which is of particular in technical skill.  

He loves traveling with the family and enjoys being part of his twin boys’ soccer career.
