Women's Volleyball Season Recap 2023-24

Women's Volleyball Season Recap 2023-24
Despite a very challenging season where the team went 0-19, the Rattlers Women's Volleyball team never gave up, working hard every day to get better.  While injuries plagued the team early in the season, resulting in a number of players having to learn new positions, the coaching staff admired how each player embraced the new roles and adapted as the season progressed.

The Rattlers women ended their season on a high note, taking NAIT to five sets and almost completing the reverse sweep after losing the first two sets of the five-game match.

Statistically, the Rattlers were led this season by Olivia Jacobson who had 6.38 assists per set, tenth best in the ACAC.  Hailey Adams (185 digs),  Kadence Wiggins (114 kills, 23 blocks), and Anica Haberstock (123 kills, 107 digs) also achieved notable numbers during the 2023-24 season.

Off the court, the MHC women were very active in the community, totalling 411 hours of volunteering.

At the 2023-24 MHC Athletic Awards banquet, the following players received awards:

Rattler Award - Campbell Bosch
Rookie of the Year - Cianna Chalack
Most Valuable Player - Kadence Wiggins

One of the hardest things to do when you are not winning is to win. While the team was unable to notch that elusive win this year, it did achieve a victory by learning from defeat.  Undoubtedly, the team will build on this "victory" and bounce back stronger next season.
