Rattlers in the Community

Rattlers in the Community

Here at Medicine Hat College, we're thrilled to highlight the incredible dedication and community spirit of our student-athletes. They've exemplified the principle of giving back, investing their time and energy into a diverse range of volunteer initiatives, making a noticeable difference in our community.

Our student-athletes have gone above and beyond, dedicating their time and energy to volunteer with 85 different organizations and events within Medicine Hat and surrounding areas, contributing a remarkable total of over 2700 hours of community service in seven months.

They've participated in everything from coaching youth teams to assisting at community fairs, demonstrating their commitment to service and making a positive impact wherever they go.

Our student-athletes have shown remarkable leadership and compassion, dedicating themselves to causes that resonate deeply with them. Whether it's mentoring youth with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Medicine Hat & District, organizing sports camps, or participating in holiday events like the holiday train in support of the Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub or ringing kettlebells for The Salvation Army in Canada, they've consistently gone above and beyond to spread joy and goodwill in our community.

Through their volunteer efforts, our student-athletes have not only given their time but have also gained invaluable experiences in teamwork, empathy, and leadership. They've formed meaningful connections with individuals and organizations across Medicine Hat, fostering a culture of compassion and service that extends far beyond the campus.

Let’s recognize and applaud the extraordinary contributions of our MHC Rattler student-athletes.
Their selfless acts of kindness and dedication embody the true spirit of volunteerism, and we're immensely proud to have them as part of the MHC family.

Your efforts inspire us all to strive for a better, more compassionate world
