Women's Soccer Season Recap 2023-24

Women's Soccer Season Recap 2023-24
Few things in soccer are as heartbreaking as losing a one-goal game.  Heartbreak was all too familiar for the 2023-24 Rattlers Women's Soccer team as they ended the ACAC season with five one-goal losses.

Apart from the litany of close losses, the team had flashes of success including four regular season wins, one by a score of 8-0 against Ambrose University. Overall, the team posted at 4-7-1 record in ACAC play.

Individually, mid-fielder Kaylei Hole was named to the ACAC South All Conference team. In addition, Hole achieved CCAA All Academic status for the 2023-24 season.  Goaltender, Abby Lalach also distinguished herself by finishing the season with 66 saves, fifth best among all ACAC goalies.

At the MHC Athletic Awards banquet, the Rattlers Women's Soccer awards were presented to the following athletes:
Rattler Award - Kaylei Hole
Rookie of the Year – Alivia Rybchinski
Most Valuable Player – Kaylei Hole

The Rattlers Soccer women showed they were close in 2023-24. With a little less heartbreak next season, the team should be on its way to a coveted ACAC playoff spot.
