Men's Volleyball Season Recap 2023-24

The 2023-24 season marked the return of Trever Turner to the volleyball head coaching role at MHC. Turner, an MHC alumnus who played with the Rattlers in the 1980s, brought a wealth of experience from his previous coaching stints with the Rattlers, NAIT, Concordia University, and King's University.

The MHC men's volleyball team played an exciting brand of volleyball this year, with many close matches. However, they finished the season with a 4-15 record in league play, placing 12th out of the 15 ACAC Volleyball schools.

Statistically, two Rattlers stood out in kills this year. Jordan McKee ranked #6 in the ACAC with 212 kills, and Nate Chernik finished 12th with 193 kills.

At the 2023-24 MHC Athletic Awards banquet, the following players received awards:

- Rattler (Brett Bell) Award: Will Shea

- Rookie of the Year: Joel Lehr

- Most Valuable Player: Nathan Chernik

With a core of veteran players and some exciting new recruits, the 2024-25 Rattlers Men's Volleyball team is aiming for a playoff spot in the upcoming season.
