Indoor Track

Established in 2022, the Rattlers Indoor Track team has quickly developed into one of the better ACAC programs. Rattlers runners have achieved individual and/or relay medals in every ACAC Championship they have contested.

The ACAC indoor track season runs from December to the end of March. The team typically competes in three or four pre-championship meets in January and February. The season culminates with the ACAC Championship on the third weekend in March.

Fourteen student-athletes (seven men and seven women) represent MHC at the ACAC Championship meet, although the roster typically includes a few extra team members who are able to train with the squad and compete in some of the pre-championship meets.

Six individual races (60m, 300m, 600m, 1000m, 1500m, 3000m) and two relays (4 x 200m, 4 x 400m) are contested at the ACAC Championships.

Varsity indoor track runners at MHC have come from a variety of sporting backgrounds. While many past team members had run competitively in high school, others have come from other sporting backgrounds including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and hockey. In addition, not all indoor track athletes have been recent high school graduates – the team has had mature students as old as 36 years young compete for MHC.
