Sept. 12-13 - Rattlers Golf

Regional #2 - Hosted by SAIT
 
After the ACAC Golf Regional, the Rattlers men’s team finished second overall at +28 (308  in the first day, and 288 at the second), just one shot behind SAIT. Rylan Hodgson placed third individually at +3 (75,70), Keelan Burzminski jumped 18 spots with a 67 to finish fifth at +5, and Wyatt Bishop closed at +6 (148). On the women’s side, MHC remained second at +69 (R1 +47, R2 +22) with Kiara Reesor fifth individually at +27 (134) and Bratvold at +42 (149). 
The next appointment for the Golf team is nothing less than the ACAC Golf Championship, from Sept 21-23 in Red Deer. After that: CCAA Golf Nationals, from October 12-18 at the Desert Blume Golf Course.
 

Sept. 13 – Women’s Soccer

Medicine Hat College 5 – 1 University of Alberta-Augustana
 
On the road, the Rattlers picked up a decisive win over Augustana. After playing 43 minutes without a goal, #2 Alexis Ratke and #9 Nicoly Souza opened the scoreboard for the Rattlers with two goals in the last 3 minutes of the first half. After the break, both players added one more goal each, and #2 Alexis Ratke also had two assists added to her stats. #3 Milah McCarty rounded out the scoring.

Sept. 14 – Women’s Soccer

Medicine Hat College Rattlers 0 – 2 Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks
 
Back at home the following day, the women's soccer fell 2–0 to Lethbridge Polytechnic. With very leveled game, the Rattlers could not capitalize on the chances they had closer to net. Abby Lalach made some great saves on the first half to hold the score at 0-0 in the first half. After a Kodiaks goal by Jordan Wrights at the 58th minute, the Rattlers tried to comeback but had no success. The Kodiaks closed the score with a second goal at the 83th minute.

Sept. 14 – Men’s Soccer

Medicine Hat College 4 – 2 Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks
 
The Rattlers men's soccer team hosted the Kodiaks on the Sunday afternoon to extend their winning streak with a 4–2 win. An early start helped the Rattlers to control the game, with #12 Joao Cintra opened the scoring in the 5th minute followed by De’Shaunt Gelinas-Cato at the 15th minute. The Kodiaks tried their with a goal at the 43rd minute after a moment of pressure, however the great saves by the Rattlers keeper #1 Stefan Vrska and a goal by #24 Kylan Wol-Harden right after halftime settled the game for the Rattlers. In his first game of the year and coming back from an injure, #8 Tata Mugisha also scored from a freekick to close the scoreboard.

The next soccer game for both men's and women's will be this Saturday, at home against the Ambrose Lions.
