Weekend Recap - Women's Hockey is back!

October 4th - Saturday

Cross Country Running in Augustana for the 4th ACAC Grand Prix

A full squad traveled to Camrose for the Augustana Open, the final tune-up before ACAC Championships. The women placed second with four runners in the top 16, led by Pheonix Asprey (5th) and Maddie Scrimger (6th). Rookie Logan Pancoast paced the men in 4th over 8 km. MHC ranked third in the combined standings, two points shy of Lethbridge Polytechnic, with RDP first.


Women's Soccer at Olds College

In a slow attacking game, the Medicine Hat Rattlers women's soccer team prevail over the Olds College with a single goal from Nicoly Souza. In a low shooting game, Abby Lalach only had one save, while the Rattlers had four shots on goal.


Men's Soccer at Olds College

The men's had a extremely controlled game against the home Olds Broncos, winning by 5-1. Joao Cintra and Aleksa Bijelic openned the scoreboard early in the 10 minutes. After securing a 4-0 lead the Rattlers got score on the only shot the home Broncos had. Koen Petryna, Davi Amorim and Kylan Wol-Harden topped up the scoreboard for the Rattlers.


Women's Hockey at Red Deer Polytechnic

The Rattlers Women's Hockey made their debut in the 2025-26 season under the command of their new Head Coach, James King. Playing against the home Red Deer Queens, the Rattlers opened a 3-1 by the end of the second period, but the home teams was able to comeback to a 3-3. In the last 30 seconds of the game, Red Deer capitalized and close it to a 4-3 loss for the Rattlers. Marissa Cain, Mya Girard and Zayda Summach scored for the Rattlers.

Women's Soccer at Red Deer Polytechnic

Facing the hosts of the 2025 CCAA National Soccer Championship was a tough mission for the Rattlers ladies, who lost the game 5-0. Abby Lalach finished the game with 6 saves over 11 shots on goal.


Men's Soccer at Red Deer Polytechnic

The Rattlers Men's Soccer team kept their 7 games winning streak overtaking the Red Deer Kings by 4-0. Aleksa Bijelic, Joao Nascimento, Aminja Abbe and Tata Mugisha scored for the Rattler. This is the second game of the season that Stefan Vrska have a clean sheet.
