Seasons Endings, Home Openers and Nationals

 

Men’s Soccer
At the 2025 ACAC Soccer Championships, the Rattlers Men’s Soccer team made history by capturing the program’s first-ever ACAC Silver Medal. On Friday, they rallied from a 2–0 deficit to defeat TKU 4–3, with a last-minute goal from Davi Amorim. In Saturday’s semifinal, they shut out Keyano 3–0 behind two goals from Aleksa Bijelic. Sunday’s final saw a narrow 1–0 loss to NAIT, securing the silver. Aleksa Bijelic (#9), DeShaunt Cato (#13), and Matheus Tavares (#23) were named to the All-Tournament team, while Stefan Vrska (#25) earned Player of the Game honours in the final.

 

Cross Country Running
The MHC Rattlers Cross Country team competed at the 2025 ACAC Championships in Grande Prairie, earning the best combined result in program history: second in the women’s division and fourth in the men’s. Maddie Scrimger (4th) and Pheonix Asprey (7th) both earned All-Conference honours, while rookie Logan Pancoast finished 7th among the men to also claim All-Conference status. Asprey and Pancoast were named ACAC Rookies of the Year. Women's Cross Country and Logan Pancoast qualified for the CCAA Nationals in PEI on November 8.

 

Women’s Basketball
The Rattlers Women’s Basketball kept their winning streak with back-to-back wins over the Ambrose Lions. In Friday’s home opener, they took a 91-75 victory, followed by an 88-59 win in Calgary on Saturday. Jordyn Knight led the team with a combined 39 points across both games. 

 

Men’s Basketball
The Men’s Basketball team also hosted their home opener on Friday, narrowly falling by one point in the final seconds after leading the entire game. They bounced back on Saturday in Calgary, defeating Ambrose 104-85 for their first win of the season. Jordan Biggar had a dominant weekend, tallying 54 points and 23 rebounds across the two games.

 

Women’s Volleyball
The Women’s Volleyball team earned an incredible reverse sweep at home on Saturday for their first win of the season, defeating the Ambrose Lions 3-2 during the Rattlers Home Opener. The night before, they dropped a 3-1 match in Calgary. Tannah McKay led the offense with 29 points combined on the weekend.

 

Men’s Volleyball
The Men’s Volleyball team faced the Ambrose Lions twice over the weekend. They lost 3–0 on Friday in Calgary but came close to a comeback win on Saturday at home, falling just short in a 3-2 tie-breaker after rallying from a 2–0 deficit.
