Madison Scrimger and Michael Valk have been named the Moxies Players of the Month for September

Michale Valk

Valk dominated the ACAC golf competition throughout from beggining to end, winning both ACAC regional tournaments and capturing the men's individual title at the ACAC Championship. He was the only golfer to finish under par in both regionals, posting scores of -9 and -1. At the ACAC Championship, Valk's consistency led him to a -12 finish across three rounds, securing individual gold. With that performance, he was selected ACAC Golfer of the year. Same as last year, Valk is now back to back ACAC Golf Individual Men's Champion & Golfer of the Year. 

In addition to his individual success, Valk helped lead the Rattlers to bronze medals in both the men's and mixed team competitions. On sunday, he and his teammates travels to CCAA Golf Nationals.

Madison Scimger

Scrimger's month began with her first-ever ACAC race win at the Concordia University meet in Edmonton, where she led from the start and finished the 6 km course in a time of 25:36, 24 seconds ahead of the second-place runner. She followed that up with another victory at the Run for the Pumpkin event in Lethbridge, where she strategically moved from third to first in the final 4 km, winning the race by 36 seconds with a time of 25:52.

Capping off her impressive month, Scrimger secured a second-place finish at the St. Mary's Open in Calgary, leading the Rattlers women’s team to a fourth-place finish overall. Her leadership and consistency have been crucial to the team's success, making impossible to not be awarded as Player of the Month.
