Athletes of the Week - March 17

We are excited to announce the Rattlers Players of the Week, sponsored by Cheerleaders Barber Lounge and BYZ Enterprises, recognizing two athletes for their outstanding performances this past weekend.

Madison Scrimger - Indoor Track

Madison Scrimger capped off a standout weekend at the 2025 ACAC Indoor Track Championships, earning Athlete of the Week honors for the Rattlers. The third-year nursing student claimed her first-ever ACAC gold medal with a dominant win in the women’s 3000m and followed it up with a silver in the 1500m. She also placed 10th in the 1000m and ran a leg in the 8th-place women’s 4x400m relay. Along the way, Scrimger set new MHC school records in all three of her individual events, cementing her place in the program’s history.

Her efforts earned her a well-deserved spot on the ACAC Indoor Track All-Conference team for the second straight year, further highlighting her impact on the Rattlers’ success.

Chibuikem Chukwunyerenwa - Indoor Track

Chibuikem Chukwunyerenwa put together a strong showing for the Rattlers at the 2025 ACAC Indoor Track Championships, earning recognition as the team’s Athlete of the Week. He anchored both the men’s 4x200m and 4x400m relays to fourth- and fifth-place finishes, helping secure key points for the team. In individual competition, he sprinted to an eighth-place finish in the men’s 60m, competing against some of the fastest athletes in the ACAC.

His contributions played a vital role in the Rattlers' overall performance, as the team placed fifth out of ten programs at the championship.
