Rattlers Fall to Highway 3 Rivals

On a beautiful day for soccer MHC played host to the Lethbridge Kodiaks on Sunday in a battle with our Highway 3 rivals. Lethbridge came out quick with a goal in the 10th minute by Raeleen Vanden Dunge. This was followed by another Kodiaks goal in the 25th minute by Montanna Rouselle. That was all the scoring in the 1st half that was mainly controlled by the Kodiaks who put 11 total shots towards goal in the first 45 minutes.

The second half came and went with only one additional goal produced in the last 45 mintues. Audyn Mettauer came through the midfield and slotted it past the Kodiaks goalkeeper to put the team down just one goal. The rattlers only managed on additional shot compared to the 14 by the Kodoaks. Rattlers 'keeper Abby Lalach (1st year, Cranbrook, BC, Education) made 13 saves in the loss.

The Tiki Press Player of the Game was Kaylei Hole for the Rattlers & Ana Waurynchuk for the Kodiaks. The Rattlers travel to Augustana next Saturday for a date with the Vikings and then host the Ambrose Lions on the Sunday. Meanwhile the Kodiaks play host to the SAIT Trojans on Saturday.
