On Thanksgiving Sunday, the MHC Rattlers played host to the SAIT Trojans on a late afternoon matinee game. The Trojans came out on the front foot putting 4 goals past goalie Hayley Whelen in the opening 20 minutes. A late breakaway by the Rattlers couldn't solve the Trojans goaltender and the score finished 4-0 after the 1st period.
The second period started with back and forth flow with a couple chances each way. Just before the halfway point on the 2nd the Trojans hopped on a loose puck in the slot and went top shelf to go up 5-0. After 2 the Trojans outshot the Rattlers 36-20.
The third period was mainly controlled by the Trojans as they continued to apply pressure on the Rattlers net. Midway through the 3rd period the Rattlers were pushing for that elusive first goal. Unfortunately that goal never came and the game finished 5-0 for the Trojans.
