Rattlers Fall to Ooks in Home Opener

Rattlers Fall to Ooks in Home Opener
In front of over 300 people, the Rattlers first women's hockey game took place at the Moose Rec Centre. Ceremonies and dignitaries were all in attendance as we took to the ice against the NAIT Ooks. The first period was controlled mainly by NAIT as they outshot the Rattlers 13-4 by Kinlee Fahselt was solid in goal turning away all NAIT scoring chances. The first period ended 0-0.

The second period was more pressure by NAIT who, again, outshot the Rattlers 12-8 but were unable to find the back of the net. Big saves by Fahselt were aplenty as she kept the Ooks at bay.

We finally had a breakthrough in the 3rd period as Hanna Paquette and Kamryn Abley scored for NAIT to give them a 2-0 lead. NAIT would hold on to the lead and would take the game by that 2-0 score.

The Tiki Press Player of the Game was Sidney Ellington for the Rattlers and Hanna Paquette for the Ooks. The Rattlers host SAIT on thanksgiving Sunday while the Ooks have a home and home series with SAIT next weekend.
