Playing their last game of the season, the Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers women's hockey team saved their best performance for last as they earned their first ever Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) victory with a hard-fought game, knocking off the SAIT Trojans 4-3 on Saturday night at the Moose Recreation Centre.  With a 3-3 score and overtime looming, the Kennedy King played the role of hero as she banged in a puck with 30 seconds left in the third period to win the game for the Rattlers.  The ladies built leads of 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 but SAIT kept clawing back each time to tie things up.  Our Rattlers kept fighting and kept pushing themselves in front.

Right from the opening faceoff, the Rattlers appeared to be flying.  They seemed to win every foot race and they played with a determnation that wouldn't be denied.  After a scoreless first period, Keirson Kobi opened the scoring for MHC at 9:36 of the second period assisted by Mya Girard and Geneva Strutt.  After Sait tied things up, Kennedy King, from Brynn Kuntz, put the Rattlers back in front 2-1 as the second period came to a close.  A high paced back and forth period saw Kobi score her second of the night at 6:12 of the third which paved the way for Kennedy King's heroics at 19:29 of third period.

The Tiki Press ACAC Player of the Game for your Rattlers was number 12 Kennedy King with two goals and an honourable mention goes to Keirson Kobi who also scored twice on the night.
