Rattlers Basketball Set to Host Ambrose in Home Opener

Saturday night is the tip-off for our 2023/24 Rattlers basketball season as we play host to the Ambrose Lions at 6:00pm for the women & 8:00pm for the men presented by Remax Medalta Real Estate. The women are looking to bounce back after what was a rebuilding year last year and look to take steps towards making a playoff push this year. The team brings back 5 players from last year including their two top scorers- Brynn Bremner & Abrielle Watson- and a number of new recruits looking to help take the team to the playoffs.

The men's basketball team returns many of its core players including Australians Cooper Ward, Ethan Robinson, & Jordan Bigger as well as local standout Fred Kabore. Rich Humphrey has brough in a couple OCAA transfers and is looking to take a run at the top spot in the South Division this year. Kieran Isnor is also looking to be an instrumental piece on both ends of the floor. The team has high hopes after being knocked out last year in the play-in game to Red Deer.

Women's Soccer to Host Augustana

In a game that is almost a must-win for any hopes at playoffs, the women's soccer team (3-5-1) is looking for some redemption against the Augustana Vikings (4-5). The women dropped a 1-0 decision a few weeks back to the Vikings after dominating the shot department 21-4. The Rattlers are lead by top goal scorers Jaycee Berggren, Keandra Leslie, & Maisa Rebello all with 5 goals apiece. Kickoff is set for 2:00pm on Sunday.

Due to Augustana not having a men's program they will not be playing.

Cross-Country Looking for Continued Success

Our Cross Country team is in Camrose on Saturday for the final Grand Prix before the ACAC Championships at the end of the month. The women are looking to stay on the podium and improve overall as a team and gain some momentum heading into the championship weekend. Beck Ross & Maddy Scrimger are looking to keep their podium finishes while their teammates are eager to move up the standings overall. On the men's side the team has steadily improved throughout the year and is looking to continue their climb up the standings.

Women's Hockey Hits the Road for First Road Trip

The Women's Hockey team is embarking on their first road trip of the season as they head to Olds for back-to-back games against the Olds Broncos (0-2). The team is looking to bounce back after falling to NAIT & SAIT last weekend and looking for their first goal of the season and for the program. Puck drop in Olds on Saturday is at 7:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm. Both games are played at the Olds Sportsplex

Men's Volleyball in Cranbook for Exhibition

The men's volleyball team heads off for their final pre-season tune-up with a trip to Cranbrook for a couple games against the College of the Rockies Avalanche. This will be a god test for the men as the Avs' finished 3rd in the PACWEST last season. Games are at 7:00pm on Friday and 1:00pm on Saturday.
