Another weekend brings another full slate of Rattlers action

Women's Soccer travel to Camrose Saturday; both soccer teams host Ambrose Sunday

Due to Augustana only having a women's soccer program, only the women's soccer team will be travelling on Saturday as they go to Camrose for a date with the University of Alberta- Augustana Vikings (2-3-0). Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00pm. The women will return home as they start the second half of their schedule on Sunday hosting the Ambrose Lions (0-6-0). The women tamed the Lions 4-0 two weeks ago and are looking to keep pace with the top teams in South Division. A win against these Lions will keep them right in the thick of things for a playoff spot. Kickoff at the MHC pitch is set for 12:00pm. Meanwhile, the men only have one game this weekend as they play host to the Ambrose Lions (1-4-0) as well. The Rattlers are still looking for their first win of the year and a bit of redemption against those Lions as they fell 2-0 to them a couple weeks ago. A win will help them try and break free from a large group fighting for the last playoff spot in the south division. Kickoff follows the women at 2:00pm at MHC. 

Cross-Country gets preview of ACAC Championships course

Our Cross-Country runners will be off to Lethbridge to compete in the 3rd ACAC Grand Prix this weekend. This Grand Prix course is a preview of what's ahead for the ACAC Championships at the end of October as Lethbridge will also be hosting that event in about a month. The ladies are looking to keep the momentum up from the past few races as they have performed exceptionally well so far this season coming away with a few individual wins and multiple podium spots. The men are looking to improve on a best team finish the program has ever had two weekends ago in Calgary. A successful weekend here bodes well for a team looking to bring home some hardware and banners at the championships in a month.  

Rattlers Basketball hosts Olds in Exhibition Friday & Saturday 

The basketball teams are back at it hosting the Olds Broncos this upcoming weekend for a pair of games. On Friday night the Broncos will take on our Rattler women at 6:00pm and the men at 8:00pm. Saturday has some matinee action as games will be at 1:00pm for women and 3:00pm for the men. All games take place at the Snake Pit and are free admission. 

Women's Volleyball goes to RDP for more preseason 

On Saturday the team will face off against last year's silver medalist in the University of Alberta- Augustana Vikings at 1:00 followed by the Olds College Broncos at 6:00pm. On Sunday the women will take on the Ambrose Lions at 10:00am followed by the SAIT Trojans at 2:30pm.
