Soccer travels to SAIT Saturday; Host Rival Kodiaks on Sunday

This upcoming weekend the soccer teams will travel to the Calgary to play the nationally ranked Trojans- men 3rd, Women 14th- and the return home to host our highway 3 rivals Lethbridge Kodiaks on Sunday. On Saturday games happen at Cohos Stadium at SAIT campus with the women at 12:00 and men to follow at 2:00 with Sundays kickoff at home coming at 1:00 for the women and 3:00 for the men. The women are led by Jaycee Berggren (1st year, Swift Current,SK, Pre Dental Hygiene) in goals with 4 in 3 games. On the mens side, the team is led offensively by a group at one goal each. 


Golf Heads to Championships Ready for Podium Push

Our golf team heads to Alberta Springs Golf Course just outside Red Deer for the ACAC Championships in search of bringing home some individual and team hardware. Michael Valk (4th year, Medicine Hat, AB, Power Engineering) comes into the championships on a high winning both of the previous regional events and is looking to make it a season sweep. The rest of the mens team is looking to improve on their third place finish this past weekends South Regional and move up the standings. On the women's side the team is lead by the tandem of Libby Bourassa (2nd year, Medicine Hatr, AB, UT Science) & Taryn Sanderson (1st year, Vulcan, AB, Criminal Justice) who are looking to swing up the standings after both getting top 5 finishes this past weekend. As a team, the women are looking to push up the standings after tying with SAIT this past weekend for 2nd. 


Basketball hosts Lethbridge Friday & Briercrest Saturday in exhibition

On Friday night exhibition basketball returns to the Snake Pit as both basketball teams host a pair of ACAC teams in exhibition action. On Friday night Lethbridge pays a visit to MHC for games at 6:00 for the women and 8:00 for the men. Saturday brings afternoon matinee games against Briercrest with the women tipping off at 2:00pm and men to follow at 4:00pm. Admission both days is $2 for adults. MHC students and children under 18 are free. 


Men's Volleyball Participating in FOG Classic

The men's team will be travelling to Edmonton this weekend to participate in the annual FOG Classic hosted by U of A and NAIT. The tournament is a combination of Usport and College teams with each College getting 1 match versus a USport team. The team opens play Friday at 11am as they face King's University from Edmonton. They then play Augustana at 3pm to wrap up the day. On Saturday they will play MRU at 1pm before they conclude the tournament facing the Canadian Masters team at 6pm which is comprised of former Usport players. All matches will be best of five and it is a chance for the team to continue to improve on team play as they get ready for regular season play.
